Introduction to Hydro-Graphics
Warwickshire Hydro-Graphics is a family run business. We are passionate about Hydro-Graphics. Every item we do is unique.
Hydro-Graphics, also known as Water Transfer, Hydro Imaging, Hydro-Graphic Printing is all the same. It’s a method of applying an ink image to an item as part of a paint system.
There is a multitude of prints, patterns, thousands: carbon fibre, wood grain, cartoon camo, abstract style patterns and custom prints can also be designed.
The Water Transfer printing process (Hydro-Graphics) is used throughout the world, primarily to decorate a wide variety of items ranging in size like phone cases, TV remotes to larger items such as car bonnets and bumpers. the Versatility of the alter transfer printing method means that the films can be applied to a vast majority of materials. Materials can be covered include Plastic, Wood, Metal, Fibre Glass, Ceramics, Glass.
In fewer words, we can make the most simplest plastic item look like an expensive piece of carbon fibre, as most car interiors are or bits of a motorcycle.
What we do
You might decide you want a carbon fibre toilet sear or kitchen cupboard doors perhaps etc, or even alloy wheels, engine parts. THE RULE IS, IF WE CAN FIT IN OUR LARGE DIPPING TANK, IT CAN BE DIPPED.
The Water Transfer printed process uses a water soluble film that contains the required printed design, one of thousands that are available. The image film is then placed into the tank on top of the water. Then an special activator is sprayed over the film partially dissolving it. Finally, after all the preparations to the film and the product itself, it can be dipped into the surface pattern until it has been completely submerged which it then gets a special coat of clear or matt lacquer in order to protect the printed image leaving is super smooth.
